For hospitals, clinics and health systems

Need a qualified interpreter?

Verified medical interpreters, connected in minutes, in the browser, with a credentialing file for your records.

Both reach a person at the Society's office, who answers you directly and matches you by hand.

How it works

Three steps, and the third one is a statement.

One

Find

Browse the Registry by language, setting and state, each interpreter's own rate on their card, or press one button and the Society finds someone available now.

Two

Connect

The call opens in a browser tab for everyone, nothing to install, and the money is reserved before the room opens.

Three

Pay

One statement a month, every appointment on its own line, by invoice or from a balance.

Qualified means checked

Every interpreter the Society connects you to has been checked.

  • Identity and training verified by the Society's staff, against the documents.
  • The SPI Qualified Interpreter Assessment passed in healthcare interpreting.
  • Both languages at ILR 3 or above.
  • The Society's code of ethics and confidentiality agreement signed.

For your compliance office: a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement on the Society's paper, no recordings of patient visits, and this file for every interpreter you work with.

How you pay

The interpreter's rate, plus the Society's fee. Nothing else.

Every interpreter sets their own rate and you see it before you book. The Society adds 15 cents a minute on top, which pays for the Registry, the room and the statement. Payment processing is passed through at exactly what it costs.

The cost is reserved before any appointment connects and settled to the real minutes when it ends. A call is never cut off because a balance ran low.
Have interpreters on staff?

Organizational Membership

Your organization covers membership for 10 or more of its interpreters. Each one is verified on their own and keeps their own record and hours, and you see where every seat stands.
